DESCRIPTION
Developed a human-centered storytelling project rooted in research, listening, and relationship-building. Over the course of a semester, I partnered with an older adult from the Knoxville O’Connor Senior Center, Francine, and met with her consistently in person and virtually, engaging in open-ended conversations to understand her lived experiences, values, and memories.

Through this research process, I gathered qualitative insights by listening closely, asking thoughtful questions, and documenting stories shared across multiple touchpoints, shaping both the content and structure of the outcome.

The result is an interactive board game that translates personal narratives into a reflective experience centered on storytelling rather than competition. The game encourages players to slow down, engage with memory, and recognize the value of connection across generations.

This project strengthened my ability to conduct empathetic research, synthesize qualitative information, and transform real human stories into intentional design.
